Does life give you melons or lemons?

“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade ”

Most people know the proverbial phrase used to encourage optimism and a positive can-do attitude in the face of adversity or misfortune.

“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade ”

This may appear differently in a dyslexic’s mind.

One of the simple illustration of how they might read it is

melons” instead of ‘lemons“.

Transpositions, omissions, substitutions, and reversals in letters, numbers and/or words are just one of the signs of dyslexia.

It is a meaningful phrase for us at Mind Mechanics, lemon suggest sourness or difficulty in life; making lemonade is turning them into something positive or desirable.

We hope that we can give you the tools and support to turn that melon to lemon and help you make your very own lemonade.
